Service Learning

Plenitud PR has been hosting service learning, academic, and alternative break trips since 2012. We collaborate with universities, schools, and private groups seeking to learn about sustainability, community resilience, and conscious leadership through hands-on experiences. Together with our local partners, we design programs that combine meaningful service projects with educational workshops, cultural immersion, and exploration of Puerto Rico’s natural beauty.

These trips are customizable in length and activities—ranging from 3 to 10 days—so each group can focus on the themes most relevant to their program or course of study. Our typical season runs from October through May, when the island is alive with agricultural activity and ideal weather for outdoor learning.

“I remember leaving Puerto Rico feeling overwhelmed with intentions, practices, and new ways of being that I wanted to incorporate into my life back home. I’ve since learned that integrating big experiences happens more organically than I imagined. My time at Plenitud shows up in the way I think, in the food I cook, in the community I seek, and in how I navigate the world around me. It lives in a special part of my heart that I get to tap back into when queued by everyday moments. It’s a feeling of warmth and hope that I hold closely. My time at Plenitud is something I carry with me every day. “
