Empowering Our Leaders of Tomorrow
Children represent the future of Puerto Rico. However, the children of our region face multiple and compounded challenges affecting their wellness and ability to thrive. High levels of poverty and unemployment, lack of access to fresh, healthy foods, and an under-resourced local education system combine to put the health and security of our children in jeopardy. These factors have only been exacerbated by the global Covid-19 pandemic and impact of Hurricanes Maria and Fiona, which have contributed to increased economic instability and inequality in our area.

How do we create solutions to these challenges for our children?
Our holistic education program empowers children and youth in central western Puerto Rico by providing them life skills and tools to grow and thrive, through nutrition education, hands-on gardening experience, and creative workshops to feed their growing minds. We aim to partner with the children of our communities to build a healthier, more sustainable generation for the future of our island.

Invest in our children’s future
Our program impacts only 18% of kids in Las Marías, Maricao, and Añasco. Help us both widen our impact locally and share inspiration and educational resources to reach all children in Puerto Rico.
For example, $100 a month provides an agro-ecological kit to a family without access to fresh and healthy food.
