Monthly Sustainers provide the steady support that helps Plenitud serve, teach, grow, and care throughout the year.
Month after month, Plenitud shows up: tending the land, preparing nourishing food, welcoming students, teaching ecological skills, supporting seniors, and creating spaces where people of all backgrounds can experience what it is to be in community. Sustainers make that continuity possible.

Why Monthly Giving Matters
Sustainable change is not built in one season or one campaign. It grows through steady relationships, year-round programs, and reliable support. Monthly giving helps Plenitud plan ahead, support local staff, maintain programs, steward the land, and respond to community needs with consistency.
As a monthly Sustainer, your support helps provide:
fresh, nourishing meals for seniors
outdoor, holistic education for children and youth
hands-on service-learning experiences
natural building and water security education
essential services in times of emergency through our resiliency hub
agroecological and permacultural skill building trainings
diverse experiences that foster personal transformation and social connection
Plenitud Sustainers are generous, committed, and caring people who believe in this work and choose to stand with it month after month. Each Sustainer has a story and a journey that brought them to Plenitud– hear their stories!
Meet the Community Sustaining Plenitud
“Being a Plenitud Sustainer means a lot to me because it connects me to a community and a mission I believe in. I’ve been involved in Plenitud since 2009, and now I’ve been a Sustainer for 5 years, because I’ve seen firsthand the way that people’s lives are changed by the “Plenitud experience” (including myself!). As a professor, sometimes I live so much in the world of theory—but Plenitud is living this work and I’ve seen the results from the very beginning. I’m proud to be a Sustainer!”
— Tyson Brown
“As a pediatric endocrinologist specializing in the care of children with diabetes, I am seeing more children become sick due to poor nutrition and unhealthy diets.
When I first participated in Plenitud's programs six years ago, I fell in love with their mission and the work they do and became a Sustainer. They are truly committed to our community—not only to our abuelos and grandparents, but also to our children. They visit schools and bring children to their farm, working together in the garden, expanding their palates through harvesting, preparing, and cooking fresh foods.
I have personally participated in these programs and witnessed their impact firsthand. Their work is making an incredible difference in the lives of children and helping build a healthier future for the next generation.”
