Naina first met Plenitud PR in 2013 after a visit with the George Washington University Alternative Breaks program. After serving on the Board of Directors from New York City, Naina decided to serve directly on the farm as an AmeriCorps VISTA in 2019, and now serves from both locations with a focus planning events, fundraising, and communications. Naina is passionate about community, arts programming and language accessibility; she loves live music, spicy condiments, and spending time with loved ones.

It’s hard to believe that COVID-19 has had a grip on our world for more than a year now. During this time, we’ve been physically separated from friends, family, and community to keep each other safe. We’ve adapted to new ways of communicating, learning, working, and staying connected. And here at Plenitud PR, we’ve been looking to serve our community in innovative ways while also protecting those most vulnerable to the pandemic in our area.

Tulsi Sun Tea

Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) is a beautiful plant rich in nutritional properties. Originating in India, it features long stems with purple flowers. It is related to the basil family of herbs, and is often referred to as “holy basil”, held sacred in the Hindu tradition. Drinking it as a tea produces a combined energizing and relaxing effect.
