Eckerd College joined Plenitud for the fourth year in a row for their alternative spring break trip. The group was eager to learn about permaculture and other sustainable living practices that they could take back to their campus community garden. During the week students worked in Nate’s garden, a garden at Plenitud dedicated to the memory of Eckerd Student Nate Mosby. In additional to participating in service learning on the farm, students attended “Festival Tierra Adentro”, a festival celebrating the earth in Mayaguez. Below are pictures of Eckerd students cleaning up trash in the forest, doing morning yoga, and volunteering at our partner organization, Tierra Prometida. Thanks for a great visit Eckerd!
